ITEC Diploma in Reflexology
The Reflexology course will include.
• In depth practical training
• History of Reflexology
• The theory of Reflexology
• Reflexology zones/Reading the feet (visual observations)
• Chakra, energy and reflexology
• Common disorders and treatments
• Common ailments & Contraindications
• Mapping of the feet and practical reflexology
• Zones of the Body
• Introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine & acupoints on the hands and feet
• \"Off the Foot Reflexology\" - using energy techniques as part of the treatment

Client care and consultation skills will be taught to a high standard to ensure an excellent treatment for all clients, instil confidence in the therapist and give a professional image thereby encouraging referrals and helping to build a successful business or career. Reflexology benefits clients\' physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and has the power to bring very positive changes in their lives. Understanding the mind/body/spirit connection is an important part of the course and practical healing techniques will be taught.

In order to receive a Diploma in Reflexology, students must be successful in Anatomy & Physiology and in Professional Ethics. These modules may be taken before or concurrently with the Reflexology course. Equivalent qualifications from other awarding bodies will be accepted.

Times And Dates

Reflexology may be taken on a Tuesday morning or Tuesday evening commencing on Tuesday 1st October
Anatomy & Physiology will be held on Thursday evenings from 7 pm to 10 pm.
Business and Professional Ethics will be held on one Sunday from 10.30 am to 4pm.
There will be no class during the last week in October or over the Christmas period

Exams & Qualifications
At the end of the course students will take theoretical exams in Reflexology, Anatomy & Physiology and Business & Ethics and a practical exam in Reflexology. 10 case studies (10 clients each to be massaged 5 times) must also be completed.

Successful students are qualified to practise in Ireland, Europe and parts of the USA and Canada

€1680 incorporating the Anatomy & Physiology and Business Modules

A deposit of €240 will secure your place. The balance is payable in 6 monthly instalments of €240 due on the last Monday of each month

For students who already have an Anatomy & Physiology diploma the fee is €980, payable in 7 instalments of €140

There are subsidies available from some State bodies for unemployed students

Essentials Holistic Centre also offers discounts to unemployed students and those experiencing financial difficulty. This is determined on a case by case basis.
